Loving kindness practice was taught by the Buddha
to overcome fear through love. This practice reveals
the wealth of unconditional love that naturally arises
from our core being, our Buddha nature. Connecting with
this love restores our confidence and heals any unresolved
emotional wounds we may be carrying. Then we can love
ourselves in a healthy way, and more easily develop a loving
attitude toward others.

Later stages of the loving kindness practice show us how to expand our love to
include everyone – friends, strangers, even enemies. This
removes fear and negativity from the way we view the world
and the people around us, and helps us respond with love. We
are then genuinely ready to wish that our practice may be of
real benefit to other people.

Loving Kindness, the fourth module in the What Meditation
Really Is series, is open to anyone who has attended an
introductory meditation course or retreat and new students
as well. It will meet on six Tuesdays, April 11 – May 16,
from 6 pm – 7:30 pm.

The suggested donation is $75; concession rate
$60; further reduced rate or scholarship available;
everyone is welcome regardless of ability to pay.
